Go outdoors

For those who enjoy nature the Veluwe offers plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling trips and also for horseback riding. ‘t Bakhuys lies in the centre of the ‘cycling network’ which has been set out over the Veluwe. Several nature reserves are nearby, such as National Park De Hoge Veluwe, the sand drifts at Kootwijk, the Speulder forest at Garderen and the Ginkelse Hei (heath) near Ede.

Children’s activities

There are many amusement parks and zoo’s in the Veluwe area. Examples are the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk, the Koningin Julianatoren and the Apenheul in Apeldoorn, Burgers Zoo in Arnhem and Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen. ’t Bakhuys offers plenty of Tourist Information to plan your daytrips.

To the beach

At only 3 kilometers from ’t Bakhuys you will find recreation area Zeumeren. Zeumeren offers a large outdoor swimming area and sandy beach. There are outdoor playgrounds for the children. At Zeumeren you will also find Schateiland, a large indoor playground for children from 0 – 12 years old.

A taste of culture

Would you like to get a taste of culture? Visit Palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn, Museum Kroller Muller at National Park de Hoge Veluwe or Museum Nairac in Barneveld. At the end of your day you can relax in one of the many local restaurants.
